- David
- I'm a full-time doctoral student trying to learn theology in a way that is both relevant and transforming. My hope is to theologically interpret Scripture, where the Word of God is clearly the authority, shaping us to be God's people, the body of Christ, the Church. I invite you to be a part of the conversation, to respond, and to consider. Most of all, I hope God is glorified through my efforts.

A disciple is not just a follower of God but one who witnesses to those who are lost (non-christians) and christians needing accountability. Is that what you are asking??
A disciple is one who will take up their cross and follow Jesus. It involves dying to self and being born again to live a radically transformed life. It is surrendering all to Jesus and ministering to others through our union with Him. As we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us and through us we reach out to others not from our own strength but as Christ works through us. A disciple is one who has emptied him/herself and is filled with the Spirit of God and whose joy in knowing the Lord overflows into every action.
Dave. You probably wont remember me, but you will remember my son, Alasdair. We are friends of Andrew and Susan Adams. I know Al rates you highly - which is why I was looking at your blog.
